Robert C. Lindstrom
Died peacefully at home in Rockville, Maryland with Linda, his wife of 36 years, at his side. Bob was born in the Bronx and raised in New York. He joined the Navy in 1946 and served all over the world as a part of the medical corps, retiring as a Chief in 1966.
Bob worked for the 4-H Extension service in Georgia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Washington DC. He retired as the director of the National 4-H Center in 1993.
He is survived by his wife Linda; sons Kevin and Robert; daughter Tyra Rhoads; and daughter Katarina Steacy. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ at Manor Woods in Rockville, MD. A military burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be announced in the near future.
