Minnesota 4-H records from 1913-2000. 66 boxes. This collection has extensive information regarding the history and activities of the 4-H Club of Minnesota. Items in the collection include photographs of various 4-H members and activities, lists of 4-H ambassadors, reports of numerous conferences and institutes held across the country, information on international programs, biographical materials of 4-H Club leaders including Theodore Erickson, Arthur Kittleson and Leonard Hardness, and information and materials on 4-H activities at the Minnesota State Fair.

The collection is rich in information regarding members and alumni of 4-H, the ambassador programs, donors, staff members, event participants and the State 4-H Federation going back as far as 1931. Other materials of note in the collection include a scrapbook of news articles and pictures noting the arly history of 4-H and listing full-time State 4-H Agents from 1914 up to and including April 1940 (box 17); a file containing a wealth of old 4-H historical documents, publications, stories and pictures, and a bound volume of new articles from January-December 1919 give an account of the activities during that time (box 14).

Items in this collection do not circulate and may be used in-house only. Researchers may quote from the collection under the fair use provision of the copyright law (Title 17, U.S. Code). Requests to publish should be arranged with the University of Minnesota Archives.
