In 2002 Oliver Anderson, of Maricopa County, proposed that a state 4-H
museum be created to document the rich history of Arizona's 4-H Youth
Development Program. He and his wife donated the funds needed to create the
display cases needed for the museum. The museum, located at the Maricopa
Agricultural Center, was officially opened during National 4-H Week in
2004. The museum houses over 1,000 historic 4-H photos, record books and
other memorabilia. A portion of the collection is available for viewing
online.
