The 4-H Legacy Awards is National 4-H Council's premier fundraising event. Held annually on the third Thursday in April, the affair is a very special evening of fellowship - paying tribute to outstanding individuals and corporations for their work on behalf of the 4-H youth development movement.

Proceeds from the event enable National 4-H Council to contribute its valued work of advancing the 4-H youth development movement by providing grants, supporting programs, designing and publishing curriculum, and fostering innovation.

The 4-H Legacy Awards consists of four major categories:

Abraham Lincoln Vision Award

The Abraham Lincoln Vision Award recognizes our 16th President's role in establishing the Land-Grant Universities, which operate 4-H youth programs as part of their mission to improve the quality of life of the American people through education. The award is presented to an individual whose contributions to the 4-H movement exemplify the philosophy of "knowledge for use" and service to all people.

Corporate Leadership Award

The Corporate Leadership Award is presented to a company in recognition of its dedication to America's youth through generous support of the 4-H movement.

4-H Distinguished Alumni Medallion

The 4-H Distinguished Alumni Medallion is presented to a former 4-H member who has embodied the 4-H pledge through his/her significant accomplishments in professional life or in service to the nation.

4-H Youth in Action Award

The 4-H Youth in Action Award recognizes a 4-H member who is a current realization of 4-H's vision for youth as catalysts for positive change. This award will also seek to inspire other young people to create positive change in their clubs, communities, country and world.
